I worked on the U.S. news desk, managing photo coverage of national stories, notably the 2016 presidential election. 

My responsibilities involved commissioning photography, in collaboration with journalists documenting the changing American cultural and political landscape, and I played a crucial role helping readers understand these stories through imagery.   

I worked closely with the creative director on the design of the print section, and I designed immersive, multimedia packages to enhance stories on the Journal’s digital platform.

My career in photography began at The New York Times where I produced compelling visual content primarily for the print edition of the newspaper.    

Working closely with both staff and freelance photographers, I commissioned and edited photo shoots ranging from breaking news, documentary, and features, to portraiture, fashion, architecture and still life.    

During my time, I had the opportunity to rotate between various news desks, as needed, and I worked with virtually every department at the Times.
