HELLO, MY NAME IS IVAR.   (sounds like EE-var)  

My transition from journalist to designer reflects the evolution of my creative abilities, supported by a versatile skill set that includes storytelling, problem-solving, gathering insights from interviews, project management, and cross-functional collaboration.

I completed my master’s in interaction design at Carnegie Mellon University in Dec. 2022. Studying design during the pandemic has reinforced my belief in simplifying complexity through meaningful experiences that empower transformative solutions.  

My work experience as a designer began at Apple where I consulted on a redesign project that deepened my understanding of W3C accessibility guidelines. Previously, I worked in the news industry for over a decade as a photo editor and multimedia producer in New York.
